Greensboro Personal Injury Attorney
Roane Law is based in Greensboro, and our office is essentially located on the corner of Guilford College and Market Street. We have recently renovated an old home that was built in 1925 by a former Sheriff of Guilford College Community. Most of our personal injury cases actually come from referrals from other attorneys. Most attorneys handle personal injury cases up to litigation, but really don't want to spend the time and money necessary for full litigation. They send these cases to me. If you are an attorney looking to refer a case, please e-mail us a basic fact pattern and we will take a look at it.
However, we don't take fender bender whiplash type cases. Our firm has been designed to handle larger injury cases even if they are difficult, or especially if they are difficult. It seems that is what we mostly get, but that is ok. We have tried many cases here in Greensboro and Guilford County. So far, we have not lost a case here (knock on wood).
From our office is in Greensboro, we handle cases in:
Winston-Salem Personal Injury Attorney
Roane Law handles personal injury cases in Winston-Salem, Kernersville, Clemmons and other cities in Forsyth County. We have tried cases in Winston-Salem, and the most recent case resulted in a $300,000 verdict. That case involved a truck driver who was injured in a wreck, and the insurance company literally only offered $1,500 before trial. The insurance company was rude and dismissive of the entire case. Frequently, we end up having to try cases that should have settled, because the insurance companies refuse to make fair offers. They are getting worse, and they try to appeal to ideas like Tort Reform, lawsuit abuse and the McDonald's case to try and make jurors biased and render an unfair verdict.
However, they almost always lose these attempts at bias against us, because our cases are mostly severe injury cases. If someone has had spinal surgery and couldn't go back to work for a year and requires on-going medical treatment, that case is not comparable to frivolous cases. We simply don't take frivolous cases. In my experience, the jury knows the difference and doesn't appreciate insurance lawyer attempts to make them biased. The law requires jurors to weigh the evidence in the courtroom, and they are specifically instructed by the judge to not let such outside bias influence their verdicts. Therefore, the jurors usually do the right thing and sometimes actually get angry with such an improper defense argument.
Lexington Personal Injury Attorney
Roane Law handles Lexington personal injury cases as Lexington is not very far from Greensboro just down Business I-85. We have handled many nursing home cases involving the Brian Center of Lexington, wrongful death cases in Lexington and standard car wreck cases in Lexington. Lexington and Davidson County have a reputation for having tough juries. However, James Roane disagrees. It is just a small town, and he is from Cherryville NC, which is a small town so he understands. In a small town, you just have to prove your case. Rightfully, these juries don't want to render a verdict to someone who is whining and crying about something minor. On the other hand, small town juries are great in major injury cases.
These jurors know what it means to work hard, and most have tough jobs. So, if the case involved inability to work or take care of your family, these jurors know how bad that really is and will not let it slide. In a nutshell, they will not give money away, but they have always been fair. That is all that we ask for. We have never lost a case in this county either, and we have tried a few cases down there. I am going to stop here though, as I don't want to create any unreasonable expectations. While we do win the vast majority of all cases in all counties, all cases are different. Truthfully, there are no guarantees in jury trials. Juries almost always do the right thing, but sometimes they will surprise you.
Reidsville Personal Injury Attorney
For whatever reason, we actually get a lot of cases from Reidsville, Eden, Mayodan and other cities in Rockingham County. We get the majority of the Reidsville personal injury cases from past clients and their friends and family. There is no better source of cases than past clients. We work very hard, and it is a good feeling to know that our clients appreciate it and remember us. Sometimes, in smaller communities like Reidsville, word of mouth is more important than any form of advertising. We have handled many cases up there, and we won a very good car wreck case in the Wentworth courthouse. The jury up there was very similar to Davidson County, good honest and hard working jurors. We will gladly drive up there to help someone, if they need it.
